Video: The Rabbi's Daughter

Fascinating video about the daughters of rabbis in Israel who have taken slightly different paths than their parents...

So sad...

As I get older, I guess I might get tired of seeing movies like this where the story is - child has issues with parents (no matter what status in life) and breaks out to do own thing.

This had an interesting twist of being about Jews and I admire Maaleh for improving Jewish moviemaking skills.

It's not sad at all. At least they live their lives with honesty and integrity than blindly following a path. These women have are not without a foundation (unlike many secular Jews or even BuJews who have little knowledge and choose not to make an attempt or effort in exploring Judaism) and by the looks of the video, show respect in the dress at least in the presence of their family and their family's community.

I found the premise tiring after 10 minuets. Life is tough, we don't all have perfect parents. I get it kid. So, the easiest thing to attack is your religion.

These kids took the easy way out. Rather then educate themselves on 3500 years of history they decided to cop-out.

Anything these girls are doing could have been done while being religious.

And yes I am judging, having been down the same path and choosing the hard way.
